ABOUT THE CAMP
An Entertainment Resort

Located in the historic western Texas cross timbers region stretching northward central Texas into Southern Oklahoma. The land dividing the Eastern Blackland prairies from the Western plains. With scenic rolling hills, old oak groves, lakes, pastures, home to deer, and turkey this diverse and storied land is where Comanche Indians roamed the hills over one hundred and fifty years ago. This land is classic Texas country. Tamed enough to be gentle on cattle, but wild enough to stir the hunter’s soul.
Located just outside the resort town of Runaway Bay, Texas at 540 Shady Oaks Drive you will find “Camp Quitcherbichin” RV Park & Cabin Resort nestled on over forty acres of property on the shores of Lake Bridgeport.
As for the location, the camp offers the best of all worlds, as it is private and secluded, but easy to reach. The camp is only an hour from world class amenities in the Dallas Fort Worth metroplex, and just a few miles from the cutting horse capital of the world in Weatherford, Texas. Additionally, it is one mile from the Runaway Bay golf club, 10 minutes to the Bridgeport off-road ATV park, and near American Patriot Ranch, which is a state of the art 3000-acre hunting ranch.
Camp Quitcherbichin offers a unique one-of-a-kind themed Texas old town getaway.
